Wellbeing Workshops for Secondary Schools
Practical tools to help young people manage stress, regulate emotions and feel more equipped for everyday life.
Young people today are navigating academic pressure, social expectations, constant stimulation, uncertainty and an increasingly fast-paced world.
While we can't remove every pressure they face, we can give them practical tools to understand what's happening within them and respond differently.
Christine Higgins delivers engaging, accessible wellbeing workshops for secondary schools, helping students develop greater self-awareness, understand stress and emotional responses, and learn simple techniques they can use when life feels overwhelming.
Sessions are practical, relatable and designed to meet young people where they are — without making wellbeing feel like another subject they have to get right.
Behind every exam result, classroom interaction and achievement is a young person learning how to navigate themselves as well as the world around them.
Stress doesn't only affect how we feel.
It can influence concentration, confidence, emotional responses, communication and our ability to think clearly under pressure.
Christine's school workshops introduce students to simple concepts around stress, nervous system regulation, emotional awareness and self-regulation in a way that feels understandable and relevant to everyday teenage life.
Students aren't expected to share personal experiences or disclose anything they don't want to.
Instead, they leave with practical tools they can choose to use when they need them.
Supporting the Person Behind the Student
“When young people learn to understand what’s happening within them, they’re better equipped to navigate what’s happening around them.”
The Embodied Energy Method™
Christine's work is grounded in the Embodied Energy Method™, her practical wellbeing framework designed to help people better understand what is happening within them and develop tools to support greater balance and self-awareness.
At its heart are five simple stages:
REGULATE — recognising stress and creating greater calm
RELEASE — learning healthier ways to process what we're carrying
RECONNECT — developing greater awareness of ourselves and our needs
REALIGN — making choices that better support our wellbeing
RADIATE — bringing those tools into everyday life
For schools, the framework is adapted to be age-appropriate, accessible and practical, with an emphasis on wellbeing education and everyday self-regulation tools.
No previous experience with meditation, mindfulness or wellbeing practices is required.

School Wellbeing Workshops
The Student Reset
Stress, Self-Regulation & Emotional Wellbeing
An engaging and practical wellbeing session designed to help students understand what happens in the body and mind when stress begins to build.
Students explore how to recognise their own signs of overwhelm and learn simple ways to pause, regulate and reset.
Depending on the age group and needs of the school, sessions can explore:
Understanding the stress response
Recognising signs of overwhelm
Simple breathing and grounding techniques
Emotional awareness
Responding rather than reacting
Building self-awareness
Creating personal reset strategies
Knowing when to seek additional support
Students leave with practical techniques they can use in school, at home and during stressful moments.
Exam Calm
Practical Tools for Exam Stress & Pressure
Exams can place enormous pressure on young people.
Exam Calm helps students understand how stress can affect the body, concentration and thinking — and, importantly, what they can do when they notice that pressure building.
This practical session can support students preparing for the Junior Cycle, Leaving Certificate, mock examinations or other periods of increased academic pressure.
Students learn:
What happens when the body enters a stress response
How stress can affect concentration and clear thinking
Simple breathing techniques for calming the body
Grounding techniques that can be used before or during an exam
How to interrupt spiralling thoughts
Practical ways to reset after becoming overwhelmed
Creating a simple personal pre-exam routine
The aim isn't to eliminate nerves.
It's to help students feel better equipped to work with them.
